Rachel's Retreat is situated on the Penobscot River, aproximately 45 minutes north of Bangor, Maine, near the towns of Woodville and Lincoln. The retreat is surrounded by 210 acres of beautiful hardwood trees, a stream, ponds, and majestic views of the peaceful waters of the Penobscot River.
Walking trails and paths will take you through peaceful walks along the stream and river where you can find the resident eagles, hawks and many other varieties of birds on their daily flights.
The river abounds with trout and salmon and provides excellent fishing opportunities.
The thickly wooded land is home to deer, moose, beavers, rabbits and many other types of wildlife. Take a walk to the nearby beaver pond at dusk and you may spot a deer or moose!
